Instructions

Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.

Add cold water to cover eggs by about 1 inch.

Bring water to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.

Once boiling, reduce heat slightly and simmer.

Cook eggs according to desired doneness:

Soft golden yolk: 6–7 minutes

Medium creamy yolk: 8–9 minutes

Fully set yolk: 10–11 minutes

Immediately transfer eggs to an ice bath.

Let eggs cool for 5 minutes.

Gently tap and peel or store unpeeled.
