Perfect Golden-Yolk Boiled Eggs Recipe

  • Water (enough to fully cover eggs)

  • Ice (for ice bath)


  • Instructions

    1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.

    2. Add cold water to cover eggs by about 1 inch.

    3. Bring water to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.

    4. Once boiling, reduce heat slightly and simmer.

    5. Cook eggs according to desired doneness:

      • Soft golden yolk: 6–7 minutes

      • Medium creamy yolk: 8–9 minutes

      • Fully set yolk: 10–11 minutes

    6. Immediately transfer eggs to an ice bath.

    7. Let eggs cool for 5 minutes.

    8. Gently tap and peel or store unpeeled.
